RANGER represents the same hull and construction (per the J-Class Rules) as the original RANGER from 1937 with the obvious exception that this RANGER has an engine and all the amenities of a modern day 50m motor yacht. To accomplish this the class allows the “modern J’s” to go up 100 mm/4 inches (Per Class Rules) on the shear.
