Our close partnership with the Hoek design office gives Hoek Brokerage a privileged position in four specific types of quality sailing yachts:

• Truly Classic yachts.
• Premium classic or semi-classic yachts which meet the Hoek Design philosophy.
We also provide an exclusive matching service for clients looking to charter Hoek-designed yachts.
Insider information
The objective for Hoek Brokerage is to deliver a dedicated and tailor-made service, including the advantages of personal expertise and insider knowledge of the Hoek- designed yachts and their respective owners. Moreover, intimate know-how and valuable expertise of the design and building process of the yachts are available to discerning clients.

Rich experience
Our team has rich experience in the design and building process, and has sailed most yachts built to a Hoek design. Moreover, they offer intimate know-how of other yachts built at the many yards known to Hoek Design and Hoek Brokerage.
Pieter A. van der Weide
Pieter van der Weide has led Hoek Brokerage since February 2008. Since then he has sold an impressive number of yachts as well as charters, and simultaneously supervised various refits of yachts sold via Hoek Brokerage.
Piet’s experience encompasses technical, commercial, legal and managerial expertise, and he has a rich boatbuilding background having previously set up and owned a company in the Netherlands that built steel, sail and motor yachts up to 60ft. Emigrating to New Zealand in 1983, he set up another yacht building company and continued building steel and aluminium motor and sailing yachts ranging from 70 to 120ft.
Upon his return to The Netherlands in 1990, Piet managed a yard building custom sail and motor yachts. During those years he also worked for construction management company Dutch Built as part of the Hoek Group, and managed the build of the 100ft Superyacht Sapphire as well as part of the 75ft Hoek classic Copihue.
During the years between 1990 and 1999 Piet project managed a substantial refit on behalf of a UK shipyard. He also headed a company in the Netherlands which tested and certified marine safety equipment and lifting gear.
From 1999 to 2008 Piet was managing director of the European Certification Bureau (ECB) in the Netherlands. As a legal body this company inspected, assessed and CE certified recreational craft up to 24m and MCA certified yachts up to 24m loadline.
Pieter has been an active sailor since childhood and still cruises with his family every year.

Suzanne Roskam
Suzanne Roskam joined Hoek Brokerage as assistant broker in January 2012. She is assistant to Pieter van der Weide and involved in all the marketing and sales support of Hoek Brokerage.
