Dutch entrepreneur and lifelong yachting enthusiast Ed Kastelein reconstructed the iconic SY/Atlantic, that no-one thought would ever sail again. Given the yacht’s incredible dimensions a highly ambitious project.Measuring 56 metres she is the largest classic racing schooner ever to be recreated.

Her spars tower some 45 meters above the waterline to support an area of 1750m² of sail, which is more than two and a half times that of the already awesome J-Class yachts. Ed Kastelein was determined for her to be as she was when she wrote history winning the 1905 Transatlantic race.

Achieving yachting immortality in 1905, the breathtakingly beautiful Atlantic will keep on turning heads for many years to come!
